Comings and goings
It’s been a hectic month of tradeshows, both locally and nationally, and the reception to the Penguin has really been overwhelming! So many people have commented that nutritional warming is just common sense and the most common response after seeing the Penguin is “Oh my gosh, why didn’t I think of that!” We are gearing up for our largest installation at Overland Park Regional early in November and our new rent-to-own program has allowed some hospitals who had been anxiously awaiting capital money release to get started right away.
While in Washington DC at the Academy of Neonatal Nursing conference, I had a personal thrill of a lifetime. Natalie Rutherford, daughter of my long time friend Vicki, was able to get us a private tour of the West Wing of the White House. We met her friend at 8:45 pm outside the gates, made it through the security checks, and were able to spend over an hour touring through two floors of the West Wing and the press room, literally bumping into Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten in the corridor! The historical memorabilia and photographs were so fascinating and Natalie and our tour guide had so many interesting stories and facts to share. Thank you so much to Natalie and Vicki!
