About Creche Innovations
Creche Innovations is a company dedicated to creating solutions for fragile infants and their caregivers. The term, Creche [krěsh] - (n), describes a group of young gathered together for care and protection; also symbolic of an infant crib, where a child is kept warm and protected.

As a creative company offering the latest innovations for Neonatal Intensive Care Units, it is our passion and mission to work with caregivers to meet the needs of children and their families. Creche Innovations strives to optimize care and nurturing for those premature babies whose survival depends on the efficiency and quality of our carefully designed, life-sustaining products.

The company’s prominent product The Penguin® Nutritional Warmer was developed by Jan Shields, a NICU nurse, to assist staff with effective and efficient milk warming, whether it be breast milk or formula. Jan was frustrated by her inability to feed the babies in her care with consistently warmed milk. Her hospital’s practice of warming milk by placing it in a cup of hot water was very dependent on the temperature of the water coming out of the tap. Some days the water barely came out warm. Jan felt that the quality of her feedings was compromised.

With frustration fueling her creativity, Jan developed the prototype of what is now our Penguin Nutritional Warmer. The Penguin® Nutritional Warmer is safety certified and used in hospitals worldwide.
